Berlin’s mayor said on Monday January 5, 2026, that the German capital’s core infrastructure needed better protection.
Vulkangruppe, or Volcano Group, a left-wing extremist group based in Germany responsible for previous sabotage and destruction against energy infrastructure and manufacturing, has claimed several attacks in Berlin and the neighbouring Brandenburg region.
